Launching the Imagination, Preface/ Intro Thoughts, 355

Preface:
After reading the preface I'm really excited to dig into this book. It promises to deliver inspiration while exploring others works from the past and present, encourages you to develop ways of "thinking visually" and, it will teach you that design is about coming up with multiple solutions then choosing the right one to aid you in development. It then goes on to describe how the book will deliver these goals by describing which each section entails and what those sections will/ should help you with.

Introduction:
The Introduction is already very inspiring. Describing the adventures and vast job opportunities that art, in many different forms, has to offer. It then goes on to explain that we, as new art students, can make mistakes and that those mistakes are essential to our learning experience. The learning experiences will then bring about changes in ourselves, therefor in our art. I like how it defines design as a verb and a noun with details in which I haven't thought to use when defining design.
